    Maya Kanehara is passionate about innovative technologies and services that transform lives. She has over 15 years of experience in product development for tech companies like Twitter, Apple, and Autodesk. Prior to her current role as a Managing Director at Self-Sovereign Identity Incubator, she was a VP of Growth and Development at Digital Garage US., where she strengthened and maintained a centralized business development process for existing and new portfolio companies and partners for investment teams while mentoring early stage startups at 500 startups, Alchemist Accelerator, and Orange Fab.

    Domi (from Latin ‘domi foris’, meaning ‘at home abroad’) is the first product of Domi Labs, a bold venture that rethinks the flows of information in the housing market. The concept for Domi, a blockchain and SSI secured rental passport, was hatched in 2018 to meet the increasingly complex demand for transparency and regulatory compliance in the market. Domi Labs, continues to conduct research, build tools and design platforms to allow new flows of private information, anonymized reporting, and rental history tamperproofing.

  • MetaDigital - Intelligent Healthcare Platform that aims to eliminate medical prescription and insurance claim frauds with real-time digital verification.

    MetaDigital is a technology start-up company focused on developing and commercializing the first-ever digital identity management solution for medical drug prescriptions. We are currently developing our "Intelligent Healthcare Platform" – an API-integrated platform that serves as a chain-of-trust system by bringing all industry participants together including patients, pharmacies, clinics, insurance providers and government agencies – to improve information transparency and communication.

  • Xertify - We created a network where people and institutions can exchange trusted information based on Blockchain technology.

    Xertify is a global Blockchain technology company founded in 2013 and based in Bogota-Colombia that manages certified credentials and different types of documents anchored to the blockchain. For people, Xertify offers a digital folder where they can store, and share if desired, their certified information. For institutions, Xertify built a tool that automates document management and make them more productive. Xertify currently serves clients in the education and the governmental sector in Colombia, Chile and Mexico.

  • Greg Kidd - Co-Founder + CEO, globaliD; Co-Founder, Hard Yaka; Former Chief Risk Officer, Ripple Labs; MPA, Public Policy, Harvard University Kennedy School of Government

    Greg has acted as an advisor/investor for numerous startups in the exchange space including Ripple, Square, and Twitter through his seed investment firm Hard Yaka. He has served as director at Promontory Financial, senior analyst for payments at The Board of Governor of the Federal Reserve, and Senior Associate at Booz Allen. Greg has founded multiple companies, including Dispatch Management Services Corp, which he took public on the NASDAQ. He is an avid cyclist and has also worked as an instructor/leader for Outward Bound and the National Outdoor Leadership School.

  • John Kelly - Member Board of Directors, Evernym, Inc.; Co-founder & Partner, New Model Ventures; CEO, Equeum; Board Member, Investor, ThriveHive

    John is a technologist, builder, and thinker with broad experience in both corporate and startup technology companies. He has held many roles from CEO to leadership in R&D, corporate and M&A strategy, product management, product engineering, business development/alliances, deal negotiations, marketing, IP strategy, and more. A former professor of philosophy, much of his career has been related to discerning and articulating macro trends and higher-level concepts that might have profound business and social impact. His first work in identity was with the original Active Directory team at Microsoft. In 2012, while leading R&D at Neustar (who were investing heavily in ad tech), he recognized that we need a better model for personal data and digital identity and started working in what is now called the SSI community. John is currently a board member at Evernym, the company that invented and open sourced the original SSI code now hosted at both the Sovrin Foundation and the Hyperlegder project (Linux Foundation). 

  • Lisa Hawke, Moderator - VP Security and Compliance, Everlaw; Board Member, Vice Chair, Women in Security and Privacy

    Lisa Hawke is the VP of Security and Compliance at Everlaw, a Series B startup backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Menlo Ventures and K9 Ventures. She was the first security, privacy and compliance hire and built and scaled the program. Under her leadership, Everlaw has achieved SOC 2 Type 2 certification in Security, Availability, Confidentiality and Privacy, as well as FedRAMP In Process status. Everlaw's customers include well-known financial institutions, large technology companies, government agencies, Am Law 100 firms and journalists.
