Peter is Partner at Social Impact Capital. Covering the West Coast and Europe, Peter is the ‘Head of Network’, in charge of the acquisition, development, and management of all key external relationships pivotal to the firm and funds’ performance. Peter oversees our venture capital syndicate relationships, our extended team of Venture Partners & Advisors, industry and corporate networks for portfolio companies, as well as all fundraising activities and limited partnerships. In addition to these core responsibilities, Peter actively sources deals and provides hands-on portfolio support and management. Working alongside the Managing Partner and COO, Peter provides leadership, governance, strategy and support on all firm-wide initiatives.
Prior to joining Social Impact Capital, Peter was Head of Business Development at RCI, an investment technology and alternative lending platform backed by 8VC and Soros Fund Management. Prior to that, Peter created both an early-stage AI venture capital firm focused on investing in companies using machine learning in high-impact areas of application, along with a specialist strategy and management consultancy for institutional investors, Kalytix Partners (acquired), founded by Dr. Ashby Monk and Prof. Gordon L. Clark. Peter has extensive management consulting, investment research, and industry analysis experience. In addition to his work, Peter has led research on impact finance and strategic investment at Stanford University, collaborating with Planet Heritage and White Sand Investor Group (the Donnelley family). His publications include Sovereign Development Funds: The Governance and Management of Strategic Investment Institutions, which was published in The Oxford Handbook of Sovereign Wealth Funds (2018).
Peter began his career in macro-economic and global industry research, having worked for leading analyst houses Oxford Economics and Oxford Analytica. Following this experience, Peter worked at management consulting and audit firm PwC in London, and investment and human resources consulting firm Mercer in New York.
Peter has an MPhil in Business Administration and Finance from the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, and a first-class honors BA Queen Mary, University of London.
Kim Kolt is the Founder & President of For Good Ventures, a family office venture capital fund that invests in and supports disruptive, exceptional technologies and platforms benefitting humanity and the environment. For Good Venture’s investment verticals include Clean Tech, Bio Tech, Health Care, Education & Jobs, and Diversity.
Prior to For Good Ventures, Kim worked with Goldman Sachs in their Technology Investment Banking Groups in San Francisco and Los Angeles and previously Deutsche Bank in NYC. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Kim is a board member and/or advisor to a number of early stage companies in ESG and actively involved in non-profits including sponsoring the creation of the California Chapter of the Sustainable Ocean Alliance, the Oceanic Preservation Society, The Representation Project for gender equality, and Global Citizen’s initiative supporting Girls & Women.
Kim separately obtained her USGBC LEED designation in sustainable construction. She is fundamentally passionate about technologies that contribute to saving lives or reversing climate change.
A Bay Area native, Sasson has been immersed in the startup world for most of her life. Sasson has been involved formally in entrepreneurial programs and startup advising since 2011, upon founding several organizations for women founders and aspiring entrepreneurs at Barnard College and Columbia University. With a background in technical product marketing and data analysis, Sasson has held operating roles at Twilio, Google and Sentry, in addition to advising SaaS startups on their go-to-market strategy. Sasson holds an MSc in Business Analytics and Management Science from UCL, where she joined the founding team at Primera Impact with the mission to harness the power of technology and science to address the world's biggest issues. A new model for solving global challenges, Primera Impact is at the cross-roads of scientific research and the ecosystem across global sectors necessary to bring ground-breaking ideas to life.
Olga Yermolenko is a broadly experienced venture investor and startup operator, working at the intersection of strategy, technology and impact. Her passion is helping businesses and entrepreneurs reach their maximum potential and create a positive change. Currently Olga works with family office clients on social impact and venture investments, offering venture strategy, market research, dealflow curation and on-demand institutional- quality due diligence services. Olga has diligenced over $450m worth of primarily early stage deals cross-industry. In addition, Olga advises startups on strategy, operations and fundraising and has worked with 75+ startups to date.
Olga started her career in finance as the fifth employee at Helios Advisors, where she managed the hedge fund’s operations, risk management, compliance, marketing and investor relations through its growth from $20M AUM to half a billion in 4 years. From there, Olga was recruited by a startup PE fund focused on Sub-Saharan Africa, where she witnessed the power and impact of technology on frontier markets. In 2010 Olga joined the Executives-in-Residence (EIR) team at Insight Venture Partners, a $20B growth-stage VC and PE fund, where she evaluated prospective investments and identified M&A targets for existing portfolio companies.
While at Insight, Olga transitioned to the portfolio side, creating a strategic plan and raising $250M for a portfolio company, which included setting up North American operations and acqui-hiring a team in New York. This is where Olga got the entrepreneurship bug and has helped spearhead several startups, including a corporate wellness company, a sustainable fashion brand and – most notably – a quantum computing startup, which is a Y Combinator, a16z-backed company that has raised $120m to date.
Active in women empowerment networks, Olga is a founding member of Dreamers//Doers, an online community of high-impact female entrepreneurs and Declare (former Parity Partners), a network of high-potential women aiming for the C-suite. Olga is a mentor with the Big Idea Ventures accelerator, SAP.io, WeWork Labs, Halo incubator and the Larta Institute. Olga is a dedicated yoga and meditation teacher and practitioner living in New York City.
