  • Sergio Marrero - Managing Partner, Rebel One 

    Sergio Marrero is a serial entrepreneur, founder, investor, and coach who graduated from the Harvard Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He previously worked at PepsiCo, Teach For America, and the Deloitte Consulting Strategy Operations group. While in graduate school he conducted his thesis on venture studios and accelerating impact innovation at the intersection of business and government. He set up operations for two funds each raising $100M, produces an investor and CEO LiveStream Series called RBL1 Live, and is Managing Director of Rebel One - an impact investing fund and training organization accelerating rebels innovating for a better world.

  • Joseph Coyne - Managing Partner, Studio VC

    Prior to joining Studio VC as Managing Partner, Joe Coyne helped build the Samsung NEXT Venture Capital team in New York City. While at Samsung, Joe performed all aspects of deal sourcing, diligence and negotiation, with a focus on early and growth stage software and services investments. During his tenure at Samsung, Joe's initial investments realized two exits, Automated Insights sold to Vista Equity backed STATS Inc. and LoopPay was sold to Samsung Electronics to create the technical backbone for Samsung Pay.

    In 2009, Joe joined Bain Capital Ventures Investments in Boston, Massachusetts. While at Bain Capital, Joe worked on both early-stage and growth-equity investments in a variety of industries, including business services, consumer technology, marketing services, eCommerce and digital media. He also worked closely with numerous portfolio companies on strategic planning, business development and company exits.

    Earlier in his career, Joe worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at Merrill Lynch in New York, where he advised clients across diverse industries on a variety of strategic and financial transactions.

    Joe received his BBA from University of Wisconsin and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where his studies concentrated on investments, innovation and entrepreneurship.

  • Thomas Ahn - CEO, Mad Ventures, Inc.

    Thomas is the founder and CEO of Mad Ventures, Inc. and directs the overall vision and operation of the company. He is an active entrepreneur, an expert in technology research and also in nurturing technology start-ups. Thomas has successfully incubated several IT companies in Korea including Mobile Culture, iCity and Acrotech. Prior to Mad Ventures, he was a venture capitalist with Hanmi Technology Investment and has taught various topics in entrepreneurship at the Korean Venture Capital Institute. He holds a B.Sc degree from POSTECH in Korea and a B.Com degree from the University of Victoria in Canada.
